Vegetation

Vegetation appears bright white or luminescent in infrared photography because leaves reflect intense infrared light. Vegetation is highly reflective of infrared light because of chlorophyll in leaves, grass, and other plants. Vegetation reflects infrared radiation rather than absorbing it.
