VentFree Respiratory Muscle Stimulator

The ventilator circuit flow sensor detects exhalation onset to synchronize stimulation delivery. Electrodes are positioned over the abdominal wall to activate the transversus abdominis and internal and external oblique muscles. For patients no longer on mechanical ventilation, a nasal-oral cannula replaces the ventilator circuit sensor.
