Video-Based BLS Instruction

Instructor-guided training remains valuable for correcting hand placement errors that video instruction alone cannot reliably fix. Video-based instruction is effective for BLS knowledge dissemination but psychomotor skill mastery typically requires additional hands-on practice with feedback. Many participants placed their hands incorrectly after watching the instructional video, confirming that video-only instruction is insufficient for psychomotor skill mastery.
