Volunteer Training

Volunteer activity logs were reviewed weekly to monitor consistency and fidelity to intervention protocols. All volunteers completed a full-day competency-based training curriculum covering geriatric, safety, communication, and infection-control topics. Volunteer competency was assessed through scenarios and direct observation by programme coordinators. Volunteer candidates underwent institutional screening and needed communication skills and interest in working with older adults. MAUVE volunteers were recruited through Sinai Health System's Volunteer Services Department.
