Wisdom

Restraint in speech — not voicing every thought — is a marker of wisdom. Proverbs 29:11 draws a contrast between the fool who utters all his thoughts and the wise person who holds back. Restraint in speech allows a person to be intentional about the words they use and the effects those words have.
