Wolbachia

The public-health aim of Wolbachia control is to reduce vector mosquitoes’ capacity to transmit viruses such as dengue. Wolbachia is central or highly relevant to the evidence base for the intervention discussed. Wolbachia-based control generally releases mosquitoes that carry Wolbachia bacteria.
